Feeling Scared?
It is normal to feel scared. You should not feel pain with Local Anaesthetic even though there are some unfamiliar sensations and sound. You can also choose to be asleep for the procedure. This means you are relaxed, comfortable and mostly unaware throughout. You will also wake up comfortably because Local Anaesthetic is given after you sleep.

This is mostly temporary. It depends on how close the cyst grows to your nerves. Experienced surgeons know how to minimise this and will discuss this with you during your consultation.
Recurrence
Most cyst do not grow back after removal. However, continual monitoring is still needed to detect recurrence early.
“Dry socket” and Infections
Complications to healing happens sometimes. They can be successfully treated with antibiotics, antiseptics and wound cleaning. Serious infections may need a referral to Specialists.
